I have a 2024 Yukon 6.2L, 12k miles, that would crank but not start yesterday morning. Message on my phone app said service fuel management system. I disconnected battery for 15 min, and the truck started up. Is this an issue with the fuel control module? Is the truck ok to drive or will I get stranded. There are no longer any messages about servicing, so will the dealer even do anything? Should I just purchase an extra fuel control module, or is there another issue? Thanks

2024 should have updated fpcm.

I would keep one handy anyway.

I would check to see if any codes are stored.

By disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes, you may have erased any stored trouble code(s), which may have helped the dealer diagnose a recurring no-start issue.

Your powertrain and new-car warranty includes Chevrolet Roadside Assistance towing to the nearest dealer.

If this happens again, I would have the vehicle towed to the dealer for diagnosis and repair.

You ask if the vehicle is okay to drive or will you get stranded? My guess is there is an issue that needs repair, and the issue will recur.
