newb advice?

so im planning on purchasing a tahoe/yukon next month
My dad said he'd get one if it has low miles (mabye 60k or less) for less than 16k
Personally, im looking for 04+
is this a realistic target?
any advice when it comes to tahoe/yukon shopping?

I would look for a denali 6.0L, AWD, full leather, fully loaded minus navi on some models! I love Mine as do most of our members! 03+ have the updated steering wheel and controls, Double Din, denalis have auto climate control, sunroof, seat heaters, power everything! My $.02

its just i think my dad would only want to buy local, he's not that into getting me a car lol

Those were just examples. I'm sure you could find some locally or go to a local dealer and ask them to find you one! If you can I would definately go with a denali and tell your dad, AWD is a safer, better resale, more safety features, Blah., Blah, Blah, What ever it takes to convince him you need a Denali

i no some people with auction licenses so i might tell them to look around
but than again there's the factor of trust when it comes to auction cars

I completely understand! I bought my denali new in January of 04 and have only put 43+ thousand miles on it! I have not had any problems with my truck except my tire pressure sensors. In my expirence the repairs and problems with these trucks are very minimal so what ever you choose your gonna be happy

2002 is the best value for a denali. They have the older interior but make up for it with the best awd tcase, interior cabin air filter, extra lights. I have 105k on mine and all I've replaced is the steering which is quite common. The 6.0 makes it much more fun to drive.
