I am a new tahoe owner, picked up a 05 tahoe with 146K, for a good price. Well maintained, ex police vehicle, evidence tech..no dogs in it. Black with grey interior, front cloth rear leather, no console, rubber flooring no carpet. black 16 inch wheels, no roof rack or running boards. Just installed dvd head unit, new door speakers, with remote starter and alarm. I would like some feed back or suggestions on my new ride. thanks in advance. i will post pics soon.

The PPV is rated for higher speeds and is always a 2WD. The SSV doesn't get the speed rating and is usually 4WD. Both probably have a ton of extra wiring in them. If its a PPV it probably also has hydroboost brakes which would be cool. You have vinyl in the back, not leather. Seems like a lot of people are after those wheels for their A/T tires. Loosing the rubber flooring in favor of carpet is good. I recommend a Katzkin kit for the seats if you are up to it. What else do you have planned for it?

Yeah it is a ppv, 2 wheel drive, 140 on the odometer. I had it up to 120 today, nice truck. I'm thinking of the carpet, a center console. Also roof rac and running boards, but i have got good replys on the truck with out both. I have scratches on the body but not too bad. I want to get a cat back system, thinking flowmaster system. Just learning the truck but I love it so far. A lot of ideas on this forum so i'll keep looking for ideas.

I love the look of your hoe, mine is the same color. If you decide to get rid of those wheels let me know.

I'm jealous. I looked for a PPV when I was shopping for mine. There were none around in black, and the green one (WTF??) I did find I wasn't interested in.

Is your interior gray? I have a set of 12 way power Escalade seats in gray leather that are for sale locally for $200 for the pair. I picked them up in anticipation of buying a gray interior PPV which obviously never happened. They'd go in yours nicely. The leather is in pretty good shape. Here's the craigslist post:

Yeah gray interior, I am looking for seats, i'll check your listing. I just found all the pieces for the center console, and dark gray carpet cheap. i'm looking for a cubby for the console where the tape deck went, if you have any info for that. Also looking to add cat back system.

Hello!

I was looking around and noticed you have a black 05 PPV Tahoe. I have the exact Tahoe. Mine came from the Texas Dept. of Public Safety. I'm guessing yours my very well have come from there too!

Anyway, I see you mentioned installing the center console. Can you please point me into the right direction for this? Also do you mind taking a few pictures of it installed?

I noticed that my suspension also makes that noise over bumps etc... I haven't pin pointed it yet, so if you have... please share :)

Anyway, Thank you for your time!
