Hello to all...my name is Jason and I have just purchased my first Tahoe. I was in search of a tow rig for my boat and jet skis and with the economy and gas prices I was able to pick up a 97 Tahoe for 3k, it is a 1500 4x4 with 140k miles...it came with aftermarket 20" rims and z rated tires, tvs and a system that is annoying loud, the previous owner also just had the Tahoe repainted before he went to trial for trafficking....that was the good...the bad...when I bought it we were not near any interstate so I never laid into the truck and on my way home found that the passing gear is gone, so a new trans is on the plate....the steering wheel is like I am driving an old car on tv, all over the place but I think that is the pitman arm....new carpet and I should be good to go, we shall see...I will document everything and have pics up soon!!!
