The wires inside the plastic jacket can break and although they look fine on a visual inspection the copper wiring inside can have a break. You should replace the pigtail and solder the wires together and use heat shrink so they don’t corrode, just in case. There is a TSB on it but I can’t find it. Amazon or most auto parts stores have the pigtails. Here’s a link to a discussion on it. If you search on TYF you can also find mention of it.

Ok thanks I check into itCheck the seller on Amazon even if it says it's an ac delco. A lot of fakes out there. Personally I would only buy online from rockauto or a gm website. I'd rather pay more then be ticked off when the new part doesn't work or work as advertised.
