What up guys and gals, just picked up a 2000 NBS 1500 Suburban, it's 4wd and Metallic Indigo Blue. Was a family tow vehicle, has tow hitch front and rear, along with trans cooler and all that tow package stuff. Me and my dad have turned all the wrenches on it since we picked it up in 2000 with 0 miles on it, so I know exactly what I am getting and can't wait to tear it apart and build it back up.

I already have a long list of parts I have and parts I need/want.
Quick version is she will be going on a 7-9 either Cognito or FTS looking to have 2-3" of lean when done and clear the 962 20x12s w/ Federal 33s I already have. RCX is a possibility but I don't like the 4" drop for the diff and cranking to get the full 6". Leaves me with no room for growth and not so good angles from the start.

Either way look for the build thread hope to keep it updated weekly/bi-weekly.
And here it is as it sitting today....I got a few crap pics I'll get better ones soon enough.

Your doing a 7 " lift to put on 33" tires? Sounds crazy to me...

It's mainly because they are 12" wide with a -44 offset and I will be running spacers pushing them out even farther. So got to get the cabin of the truck up over the center of the tire and give it room for suspension travel...or cut the **** out of the front fender and the inner fenders against the cab and remove the washer fluid container on the driverside..... rather just lift it and have the options to go bigger later...

here is a reference of that exact lift, wheel, and tire combo

The plan is to go to 35s when these 33s wear out. But for now needed new tires figured why not get the rims I want for the 35s and wrap them in 33s and run them till I have the lift and can get the 35s.

That's cool if your just building a street rig for show.

My 99 f150 could fit 35's with a t bar crank. No droop though. Always wanted to get a real lift on it, but had to trade it for the family hauler.

Anywho, sweet burban! I am looking forward to seeing your progress.

It's not that the tire is to big around they only measure 32.8. But the wheels are 20x12s w/ -44 offset. So the amount they are offest push them into the front and rear of the fender when turning.

They are on the truck now with just ford keys and Cognito arms, had to to remove lower valance and do the Norcal fender mod. Only one that rubs now is the driverside when backing up at full lock. I can live with it cause it's only a little rub and it's plastic liner to tire so I am good with that until I can get the lift.

Welcome. . If you don't run a spacer you will probably have better clearance results and not destroy wheel bearings every 4months. So far so good.

Yeah that's a lot of negative offset on a 12" wheel! [emoji41]
