Steam that looks sweet !!!
Thanks man!
Ok here's the rest of the install and the CB install
The bracket I made, I just cut a piece of 1x2 to length, cut of the end portion from the original mount and painted it black
Here's the console broken down without the trim panels and the lid removed. I just drilled some small holes and used some small self tapping screws to secure the bracket through the sides.
Hole drilled for coax, all this will be covered with the trim panels so it doesn't have to be perfect
Back together with the CB in

Pic looking down along the bottom and from the top to show the fit
I still have plenty of room for whatever, and a shot of the lid that has a couple pen holders and a place for a tissue dispenser.
I didn't get a chance to get the wiring done for the CB and the rear 12 volt acc. but heres how I plan on doing that. For the rear mounted 12 volt acc the end will need to be cut off and the purple/red wire is the 12 volt side and the black/yellow is the ground
Gonna hook them up to a switched 12 volt on the fuse panel under the dash. There's 2 empty terminals here, the top is switched 12 volt and the bottom is 12 volt constant. I'll use an inline fuse since I don''t know exactly where the fuse for these terminals are

Eventually I'm gonna flush mount a speaker up into the overhead console and see if I can't extend the mic wires up to there also. I'll post back when I get all that done but at least I got the CB off the bottom of the dash. Gonna call it good enough for now
