Okay, im preping my truck for paint this upcoming month and i plan to go chrome to match my new grille and other accesories. i plan to de-bage the truck minus the tailgate... therefore i would like to remove the black bumper trim, but when i do there are holes in the bumper... is there any reccomendations for patching or a place where they sell fully chromed out bumpers?

any help is highly appreciated

man, i never looked, but i'll see if i can dig one up. i just planned to do a rear roll pan with a hide-a-hitch.

didn't find any smooth rear bumpers. there are some bumper covers, like body kits made from urethane or fiberglass, but don't know if you're into that or not. i think the roll pans look the best, sir michaels makes a bolt-on one. gotta whack a little off your frame at the rear portion, nothing too drastic. but if you do it, save your pieces you cut off in case you ever want to put the bumper back on. keep us posted. branndon

i think if you put a roll pan on the 2 door the gas tank is pretty visible. i'm sure someone 2 door may chime in here soon, but i think that the gas tank is lower on the 2 door -- or shaped differently anyway. think i've seen people getting fuel cells for their 2 doors to hide the tank, if i'm remembering correctly. i'll see if i can find something on that and that i'm not just crazy. branndon.
