Any idea if it will be possible to replace the taillights on a pre-2025 Tahoe with the new full LED taillights from the 2025 model, and if so, how much work that would be? I just saw a 2025 up close for the first time this morning, and the new full LED taillights look like a nice upgrade.

I'll be taking a look at the '25 Denali tail lights to see if they'll swap into and look good on my '23.

With the Denali, it's going to be a matter of how the new tails look next to the existing lights that are set into the tailgate, since the pics of the '25's tailgate lights looks like they may be slightly wider and a slightly different shape (where they, themselves, aren't interchangeable).

I put these Anzo LED tail lights on my 24 and they kinda resemble the lights

Yes especially since the factory Tahoe lights have none LED backup lights.

Also wondering if the new tails will fit .. our dealer had a 25 HC on the lot (93k msrp ) and I really liked the new taillights. Really the only thing that makes the 25 MY stand out IMO. I had them run numbers and couldn’t justify the 35k additional cost after turning in my ‘23 premier. So now I just want the lights

I was also interested if this will be possible. The dimensions look similar.

I ordered a 2025 Tahoe LS Tail light from the local dealer. Unfortunately the plug/harness is completely different from the 2021-2024. It is a wider plug and to adapt to a 2021-2024, we will likely need a custom harness built.

That stinks. Well, maybe the aftermarket will start making good clones soon with pre-‘25 harnesses.

Thanks for sharing, sorry it didn’t work out for you (and all of us!)

It wouldn’t surprise me if the plug under the bumper/back of the truck is the same in the 25 as 21-24 and you just need the short harness that goes from there up to the tail light to get it to plug in. Note that there is a chance that you would need to add a resistor or two to compensate for LED vs incandescent bulbs used in 21-24 Tahoes & Suburbans.

I was thinking the same thing(s).
