Well my dealer could not find me what I wanted so we are doing a factory order. We thought we had one the other day and today but they both had 2nd row benches! Who the heck brings in trucks on the lot with that option. That was the main reason we ended up with a Tahoe/family type truck cause of pass-through.

Anyway, I'll have to wait and miss out on the tag sales prob by the time it comes in but I can always get supplier pricing and whatever else is out there when it comes in so we will still be at the same payment, which I'm fine with.

I'm doing the pearl again (last time I had the tricoat), dune interior again, HUD this time, 20" chrome rims for the winter (I'll still have my 22" Chome set for summer), and pull down entertainment. Nice and simple. Only what we need.

I'm adding the chrome tow hooks, chrome exhaust tip, black chevy molded mud flaps, and the chrome honey comb grill. I saw one of the new special edition LT's on the road the other day and the grill looks really good. So that will be new for me this time.

I'm also having the dealership do a leveling kit. This is uncharted area for me. Can you guys give me any advice. What should they be doing and not doing? Is there diff heights for leveling kits? Or when you say you want it leveled it's just common knowledge that this is what is done and that's it?

Thanks everyone. Still can't believe they couldn't find me one, but i also checked every dealership in a 100 mile circle of my house and nothing except those 2 darn 2nd row bench ones.

I love the 2nd row bench. I will seldom use the 3rd row . I had to order my MY17 Escalade because I couldn't find one with a bench. It's nice to have the choice. Long live the bench seat!
Enjoy your truck !

I actually wanted a second row bench. I don't use the third row, and I'm usually carrying something in the back--something that I want to stay in the back and not join me in the front during hard braking or the like!

Me to. I had to special order a Denali with benches. More seating, more comfortable and stuff in the 'trunk' cant come flying through.

I'm a bench guy all the way. I passed like 10 Summit White/Black/Captain Chairs. I only found 2 exactly the same.

I have a very very random question. I really just don't like how the black trim comes down so low on my 15 right now and how my new one will be. Do you know or even think it's possible to get a z 71 front end added to a ltz?

What do you all think? Stupid? Any other ideas? Not worth the cost?

If you've got 2 car seats don't spend time worrying about us and our opinion on benches! Get what you need!

Oh I know I'm captain chairs all the way. Need to smash people in that back row! Lol

I hope the truck actually takes a few months to be made and come in cause then I'll miss a lot of the winter mess.

We didn't want to lose the extra seat, but we swapped out our bench for buckets as it's a pain when your kids have to either flip the bench seat every time or hurdle the bench to access the 3rd row (which is done daily), especially when carseats are involved. Everyone has a different situation...in our case we need the pass-through. I'll probably be looking to sell our bench here soon as I know we won't ever be using it again.

My kids informed me that bench seating was their one and only criterion for my purchase. I would be outcast from the family if I had gotten a bench seat.

I notice now, though, how often we end up with one extra person in the car for a total of 5. That brings the 3rd row into play, which is certainly not a problem. It occurs to me though that the middle seat on the 2nd row bench offers more utility than people think.

^^We went forward with the bench thinking it would be workable and nice to have the extra seat but it was a major pain given our situation with 4kids. I also feel that the buckets are nicer when hauling additional adults around vs the bench. We tried the bench but after 4mos we made the switch.

Got any pics of what it looks like with the 3rd row removed
I would also like to see pics. Our 2016 Tahoe replaced a 1996 Tahoe. For the most part the 3rd seat is a negative because folded it raises the floor in the back. Once or twice this year we have used the 3rd seat. The second row bench seat was our pick since we expected and it has worked out that the 3rd seat is rarely used.

I searched long and had and went 200 miles to get an LTZ with a 2nd row bench seat. More seating space and better hauling with the full flat surface. So there is a Market :)
