Neutral saftey switch question

So I have an 04 tahoe and the transmission went on me. I have a spare trans but the neutral saftey switch is different. The one in the truck now has a single long plug and the one I have has the double plug. Will the range selector just swap over from trans to trans?

as long as its mounting points all match up still it should just swap over.
