Hi all,
Mom got a 2004 Tahoe from someone who must have been a nut case as the harnesses for the 7 pin, post O2 sensor, and transfer case have been ripped out.

I already have the 7 pin plastic connector off of Amazon. It's a generic one so I need a wiring diagram.

For the TC, it's the motor side. I imagine I could probably use a harness from someone who has a bad one. LMK if Im wrong here. Much appreciate if anyone out there has a bad motor and can help me out.

Is the post O2 required. I can replace it later, just want to know if I can pass on it for now.

Also there are a pair of wires hanging down behind each headlight. Could these be from fogs?

TIA

The (NVG246?) TC connector -- it's the one with 8 positions but 7 pins (wires)? I forget which end has the pins...

EDIT: this one (sorry about the big pic)?

@******.sixty9, here's how my reman AC Delco encoder is wired. Not sure if the wire colors match up to your encoder motor, but it's worth a try. I couldn't decide on a color for the "tan-yellow" one, it seems to be a hybrid, more tan than yellow. The ones that don't say small on them are larger gauge wires.

@Fless Thank you for the info!
It was the 7 pin for the trailer/camper hookup that I needed the diagram for.
As for the encoder motor (thanks for reminding me of the name) I need the harness for the motor side. Reaching out to see if someone has a bad motor laying around that I could get the harness from. As for the truck side harness, it is full if mud and debris but it is intact. I need to get back under and confirm what case is there.

Thank you! Unfortunately this doesn't show me where pin 1 is.
Being in a circle they could all be off a pin by the same amount.

Now I have even worse problems. Now it wont stay running ugh

You can look at the part that protrudes out from the plug and go from there. Not sure what it’s called, the thing that makes sure the plug goes into the hole correctly. Locator lug? The thing that sticks out by the blue and green wires. If you can’t figure it out from those pics you shouldn’t be working on it IMO.

Excuse me for not noticing... something that tells me nothing.
That could be top, bottom, or any direction for that matter.
Mine is aftermarket and completely different.

Well you didnt say that, did you? If you had that would have made a difference in how people might try to help you. But with your attitude, I doubt anyone is going to go out of their way. First you made the assumption that we knew you were talking about the trailer connector although you just said “7 pin” alongside some other connectors that were in the transfer case/ engine area so one member goes to all the trouble drawing out a diagram for the wrong connector, then then he tries to help with your damn trailer connector but it’s not hood enough for you because you fail to mention yours is aftermarket and completely different. If you had any skill at all you would still be able to figure that trailer connector out because guess what? They ALL have a locating pin. And you can see from the picture that’s the backside. It’s not rocket science as they say. Good luck, Im sure not going to help, not with your attitude. Hold on,you DON’T got this lmao.

Yes your attitude. I was trying to help you:

"You can look at the part that protrudes out from the plug and go from there. Not sure what it’s called, the thing that makes sure the plug goes into the hole correctly. Locator lug? And your answer back was smart ass to say the least:

"Excuse me for not noticing... something that tells me nothing.

See I can do it too. Funny how you omit that part in your quote.
You were the one that gave me shit. But I throw it back Im the one with the attitude?
You're mad because you can't admit you were wrong.

The drywall reference is for those people who cant control themselves. Thanks for proving my point
