Like everything else with car audio.. you must start with a budget. You get what you pay for.

Virtually all speakers in the $150-$250 range will all sound the same as they all utilize the same materials and technology. Big name brands like kicker and alpine (speakers mentioned above) are all safe bets.

If you really want to go up a level, then you look at the premium name brands like Focal, MBQuartz, JL Audio, ect. They have different ranges of speakers with different price ranges.. and each step up in price is a small step up in sound quality and power handling.

For someone like me.. I'd be looking at getting an entry-level speaker from a premium name brand company.. and then double up. Putting 2 sets of 6.5" rounds in the front doors and a set in the rear.

If you have no budget.. Focal Utopia Be No. 7's with JL Audio xR CSi 650's in front, and a set of decient Focal or JL coaxles in rear. That's like $6,500 worth of speakers, before amps.

The Utopia Be No. 7's use PURE beryllium cones. An unnatural manmade element that's very rare on earth. NASA stuff.
