Most of you know I owned a 2004 K2500HD crew cab with 118k miles. I had owned it since December and put less than 500 miles on it. It was too much truck for her and not what she needed for her work around her. Big concern was the too high tailgate/bed. The landlord's son had gotten a 96 Tacoma 2wd ext cab 2.4 engine about 2 years ago from the deceased grandad who had bought it new and took religious care of it and I have taken care of it since the kid got it. Not a dent on it and never wrecked and no leaks, it is dry underneath. 79,600 actual miles. Small truck and perfect for my girl.
The son had been eyeing the K2500HD since I bought it. I had paid $16k for that truck. IMO, the Tacoma was worth $6k. Traded trucks and he gave me 410k difference. Plus, I will be doing the work on his new to him truck. The Tacoma has O/D transmission, hand crank windows, ext cab, cold a/c and heat works great. AM/FM, cassette and CD. She loves the truck and had been eyeing it since the son got it. I had no idea but knew the son wanted a 3/4 ton 4x4 and almost got a Ford diesel from a friend till I talked him out of that last year.
Forgot to mention. As with most vehicles around here, there is no rust at all.
