I see a bloody knuckle dude! Bracket get you? What's up with the auto headlight delete? Never heard of that one. Just stops the headlights from coming on automatically?

LOL, both my hands got torn up from messing with the front grille the past 2 days, the bracket was a ***** to get out since it's on a 45 degree angle and I couldn't get my cut off wheel to cut it with the limited amount of space towards the bottom so I just threw a 7/8'' hole saw on my drill and tore it up enough to rip out

I saw the auto headlight delete on here... I don't like that the headlights always turn on as soon as I start the truck. Now the headlight switch actually controls the headlights

Strange, my headlights start to come on at dusk. I used to hate the drls, but I swapped in some amber leds and the tops are round, so now they look like 2 eyes when they're on, lol. Much better Imo.

Thanks brotha, I've managed to install 50% of the shit I ordered lol... it's a work in progress. The final image is in my head and I'm not quitting till I make it reality :D
It's all about persistence!! I can't wait to see the rest of the mods.

I bought a set of the Spyder halo projectors with led's...the led's were barely visible so I hacked them up trying to fit a real led bulb in there but no dice. Wound up throwing them in the dumpster lol, another $250 down the drain

Depending on how bad they were I might have bought them

Didn't get a whole lot accomplished today thanks to physical therapy. I finally got rid of the glue strips that were on the drivers side front/rear doors after debadging thanks to the 3M eraser wheel, new black front mesh grille(not installed yet) and ran some 12 awg speaker wire

It's been a tough day to work on the Hoe weather wise, like Tony said...Motha nature is a beyotch!!! It stopped raining for an hour so I got to install the new grille today but I'm still not sure if I'm putting any light bars behind the grille(definitely not hacking this one up)

I also began running 12 awg speaker wire in the other rear door but it started raining again... Hopefully I can get more accomplished tomorrow

Once again mother nature showed her sick sense of humor today...70 degrees yesterday, felt like -30 today with 60mph winds wtf! lol

Since it was too cold to do anything outside, I focused on the interior today. First I had to cut out the plastic and the rest of that PIA metal bracket to make room for all the wire I need to run for the hu and a few other things.

OOPS! cut a few wires with the hole saw lol

had to tape a flashlight to the shifter to do a little splicing

A163.jpg

All fixed, electricity doesn't know or care what color wires its spliced to as long as it completes the circuit

Plenty of room now

I came up with a new way to do the blue led mod on the ac controls without having to do any soldering.

Start by cutting out the old bulbs flush with the bottom of the panel, push whatever old strands of wire from the old bulb in opposite directions and drop a small amount of glue on top of them so they don't touch or short out.

*IMPORTANT* make sure you mark the location of the existing bulbs with a sharpee before adding any glue

A166.jpg

gently bend the blue led bulb on a 90 degree angle so you don't break the resistor and glue in place

A167.jpg

Top and bottom row all glued in place
A170.jpg

Do not block the hole with the black arrow so you can screw the bottom piece back in place

Make sure you bring a power supply to test the led's before remounting the ac control cover back on

A168.jpg

Just like I did with my door switch led bulbs, I'm going to hook them up to my parking/headlights

A172.jpg

Here is where to find a 12v feed from the parking/headlights...on the grey connector that plugs into the ac control is a grey/greenish looking wire next to a solid blue wire that will give you 12v only when the parking/headlights are on

A173.jpg

This is how it should look after everything is wired...I also added a wire loom to protect the wires

Make sure to leave plenty of slack in case you have to go into that area again or you can install a quick disconnect like I did...I also installed disconnects on all 4 doors to make life easier next time I remove the door panels
