Sportsman's Guide sells military surplus Humvee/6x6 shackles 4 for $18.

When I had my suspension raised, my old hitch became useless.

An idea was formed...

Incidentally, got to use it this weekend - pulled a friend out of a mud hole she'd backed in to at an Appleseed event. Weirdest thing - the mud turned her tires blue. No word yet on if it washed off.

Update: I just scored a couple on ebay. $12.50 ea with free shipping. Looks to be the same except for the finish, 2" opening, 20,000lb rating, military surplus. They'll do.
