motor swap?!

I am going to do a motor swap in my 2000 tahoe and was wondering what motor would be best to drop in it... i am also going to do quite a bit of work internially and externally to the new motor. thanx

Depends on your goals and price range I guess. I'd say LQ4/9 if you've got the money since its a direct swap.

Heh, an 8.1 would take a little bit of fab work I think. They have a shit ton of torque (around 450 ft/lbs IIRC), but less overall HP than a 6.0...and only get about 8mpg lol.

Theres alot more performance potential with an LQ4/9, I think...plus they drop right in, which is a BIG plus.
