Replacement of bottom ball joint. Absolutely have to have axle disconnected from steering knuckle.
Also I had to buy a specialty tool to remove old ball joint. And had to cut off a good part of the ball joint threads to get the tool to fit.
It was the ball joint rwmoval tool harbor freight sells. There maybe another make of this tool that actually fits without cutting the ball joint.
