We have a 2021 Yukon and have never used the tv's in the back because we are an Apple family and it says the Miracast doesnt support Apple devices. What is everyone doing to sling media from devices to the tv's?

Thanks!

miracast sucks, why?
because for one only very specific devices support it, such as a some samsung phones.(even though it supposedly works with most android phones)
the connection is dedicated and any other connections need to be disabled in order to use it.
then you have issue's with resolution compatibility and wi-fi connection, etc
it's just not a "easy to use" thing, there are other aftermarket solutions out there, such as usb boxes that mimick android auto but allow more things to work
or anything else you can plug in the hdmi port, roku sticks etc...
miracast came out a long time ago (2012) but just never got off the ground.
gm is still 10 years behind as far media is concerned
AND, now (most recently) they have created there own in house system and it doesn't mesh with anything....

Media loaded to a sd card or usb thumb drive is probably the easiest solution
if you want video in motion up front then you have to drop a few bucks to make it work.

You can buy a lightning to HDMI adapter or a USB-C to HDMI adapter from Apple (whichever you need) for $30 or so. Then load up the media on the Apple device of your choice, then plug an HDMI between your newly installed adapter and the HDMI in of the infotainment system. Then start the movie on the phone. Should work.

Or, buy a streaming device (Apple TV, FireStick, Roku, etc) and either HotSpot a phone or Subscribe to the Vehicle Data Plan.

GM blew it w/ the Screens. But you have a 2021…which I think was actually the best implementation where at least the screens were more than a Monitor.

So glad I have a COVID era 22, where you could get the Advanced Tech package and not the RSE!!!

The only problem I have with my 21 is I want to RSE to show what my front screen is projecting without spending big bucks on more parts.
