Good news today for me: suburban suddenly showed up at dealership last night.

Produced on 5/19, WS available 6/24, arrived at dealership 7/29. It never updated status code, showed in VIN view or on any of the GM/dealer websites. Sales person was equally surprised but seems similar to experiences from others here.

Going there later today and, pending any funny business from the finance office, will be taking it home today.
Love reading these stories. Seen so many where people are struggling to obtain in depth info on their vehicles status or location. Just picked mines up yesterday and I am loving it!. Ordered back on December 6, 2021. It seems things are moving a but quicker though for the more recent orders.

My Tahoe ordering experience. I know others are in the same boat, but how can they justify shipping ‘23’s while my RST sits in microchip pergatory???

Wow. Ours were the same TPW and mine was made two days later, fortunately for me, I took delivery yesterday.

It’s complete BS how GM is handling this. First there’s complete lack of communication. Second, complete disregard for customers with sold orders. I understand you can’t just stop production if there are not enough chips but they absolutely should prioritize sold orders and let retail stock rot in Midlothian instead.

little surprised that there wasn't a larger base MSRP increase from the late 2022s to the beginning of the 2023s...Z71 increase is "only" $500...we've been shopping around and figured it'd be easiest to just place an order for a 2023. we'll see how that goes

That's because they also made OnStar a mandatory option that doesn't show up on the base price, it shows up on the build under the options section.

wasn't that only for the Yukons? or maybe I'm missing something...maybe it's on different trim level Tahoes...here's a 2023 Z71 without a line item for onstar like I've seen on the Yukons

GM:

Congratulations! Your vehicle has been produced. It is important to know that shipping arrangements will take place next and your selling dealer is the best source for additional detail on that process.

OR

GM audits all production vehicles to insure the absolute best quality prior to shipment.

REALITY (this is what produced means to GM)

for those that are waiting with no end in sight...i'd seriously contemplate ordering a 2023. talk to the dealer where you ordered the nonexistent 2022 and see what they think...price increase may be negligible and you get a newer model year that isn't as suspect as one sitting around for 6 months waiting on parts

Mine always has, in Canada they email you the information 2 days later
Weird! I’ve chatted them a million times and they’ve never asked me for that. And that delay in information sucks! Ours is just like texting them and they respond instantly.
