Yeah stock piping ID is 2.5". MBRP is 3" throughout and has the straight through design muffler.
It has to outflow the stock system. Sounds damn good to boot!

Just so you know i believe you have a 5.3 and I have a 6.2 so the systems are very different I stock form. I mean I love how it sounds. I'm still deciding if I want to get headers or just get a venom race muffler (no drone) and try it out. I love my mbrp but want a little more aggressive.

The stock system on my Yukon I believe is mandrel and stainless, and I can't speak for the Tahoe. But it held up better than my MBRP in winter by far, here in Ohio!

Yes I have the 5.3 so piping diameter was an upgrade for me, I guess not for you. The installer series you have is aluminized and recommend for moderate environmental conditions, so no doubt that it may not be holding up well being driven on salted winter roads. Exactly why I wanted the T304 stainless w/ lifetime warranty against rust & corrosion.
In any case, a set of headers will probably make your truck sound bad ass. Before you go changing out the muffler you should try the headers first and see if you're satisfied at that point.
I'm jealous that you have the 6.2 BTW..

Yeah I super badly wanted a corsa but just couldn't drop the coin. I wanna try headers too waiting on a pm :)

6.2 is fast and 6 speed but very thirsty lol

Like I said everything goes to crap here stainless or not so that's why I didn't get the pro lol

Here's a cold start video (with a little rev @ 1:08) for you guys.
I took one from the outside while cruising as well, but too much damn wind noise. I have to re-do that one.
Enjoy!

Thanks. Haven't taken it on the freeway yet. Driving around town with the windows up it's pretty quiet.
