Manually turning lights on

I was looking at doing the interior led conversion on my tahoe, starting with the courtesy lights, the puddle lights, the dome lights, and the door lights. Is there anyway to manually turn these lights on, or do they only turn on where doors are ajar?

The rolling button on the right... roll it all the way up

The dimmer wheel will turn all the interior and courtesy lights on, but the door actually has to be open for the puddle lights to turn on. They will also turn one for about a minute when you unlock the doors with keyless entry.
