Message on dash states left rear door ajar. Courtesy lights say on. Replaced with a good used one, still get same message. Then replaced with new one and the same message. Jumped the connector and still the same. The button on dash works to shut them off manually, but would like to have them working properly! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I would recommend using a good bi-directional scanner that can read the body (Bxxx) and comm (Uxxx) codes; there's likely a DTC that might point to the cause. Once you have the DTC, look it up at www.charm.li for the diagnostic path.

I would suspect a BCM fuse or connection, or a circuit problem.

But take a look at this external thread where it seems to have been caused by the actuator itself, not the latch. Did your new latch come with the actuator installed?
