So Ive got a ton of new parts sitting in my garage been there all summer... custom low side SMG hellcat pump, lt4 hpfp with injectors ,stage 2 btr SC Cam , a used 2.9 whipple , some other random stuff

Instead of throwing all this on my l83 im thinking im better off just building an LT4 and have some fun with it , used under 10k miles lt4 block and heads are very reasonably priced and I would def like to do a stock crank with drop in forged piston and rods and have the lt4 heads sent out P+P and rest of supporting mods yada yada
Any ideas or suggestions .?

If you follow the build guides from some of the more reputable builders you should be fine. The Whipple is fine too just be ware of the rebuild requirement every 60k miles and if the Whipple intake isn't meant for LT1/4 specifically, you will need a new manifold. I'm 99% sure the LT4 intake setup is different from the L83/4/6/7 intake setup.

I'm in a similar position. Either rebuild my 5.3 or just go for an L8P crate. Either way we will both need low side fuel upgrades. I'm personally not a fan of auxiliary fuel pumps, especially when you have to drill a hole in the tank so I'd rather spend more upfront and get a single or even dual in-tank setup.

I picked up new low side pump custom plug and play from SMG its a 535 walbro (hellcat) pump im leaning towards building a l8t block with lt4 heads just trying to shop around now for best price

too bad this guy hasn't updated his thread in over a year. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/l8t-427-whipple-charged-denali.146209/

Was looking forward to the results of his build... Who knows if it ever got finished, or if life got in the way of seeing it to completion. If the later happened, it's all good, happens to the best of us. Maybe he'd be looking for a new home for his parts!?!?! ;)
