My 2004 SLT 4WD has leveling keys and 285 all terrains on the stock 16's. I intended to start working toward a 2 or 3" lift set up on this rig, but I rarely leave the pavement and started to wonder if lowering might be more my thing. Honestly, I'm a little tired of the rough ride it has now. What I'm wondering about is could I give it a 2/3 drop and have a reasonably comfortable ride? Or would it just make it harsh/rough? Input appreciated.

I guess it depends on the shocks and springs.
I means when you look on the physics.

If you use a short, but hart spring, it will be lower but hart. If you use a regular long, but weak spring, the car will will lower but drive more comftable.
Also the shocks. When they are soft, the car swings, but feel comftable, when the shocks stop every motion you have more control exspecialy at fast short moves, but i feels less comftable.
So at least i don't depends so much on the high, more on the shocks an springs.
