Low voltage when ac on

2004 Tahoe when stopped or slowing the idle drops down to 500 or so and the voltage goes down but come back up when going from stop or just driving. I switched batteries out from my other hoe because I thought that may have been the issue. Any ideas?

Sounds like you may have a short...

Thought about that, haven't gone through the wiring yet. Went through the fuses and relays. Couple buddies said maybe the regulator in the alt. I'll browse through when I get off work. It does have 183k on it.

Took alt to get tested, tested good. Went through some fuses.
