Hi all,

I am looking for the smaller flares shown below. I have been searching, but can't find then anywhere! These are old and a couple of them are broken at the clip points. I was working to remove them to re-finish them, but one is completely useless and another is questionable. Two are good. A couple of websites show some that look similar, but when I dig, it always leads back to the larger OE style.

I bought a set of the larger OE style flares and installed them yesterday. Finished in Herculiner Pro 2-stage bedliner. They came out good, but I really like the smaller flares.

If anybody has any leads, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

Original smaller flares.

I know it wasn't/isn't your first choice, but your work looks good on the thicker fender flairs. Good luck finding the smaller ones.

Something to consider is looking at some nationally known body shops and contacting them.

Also, look at other vehicles from just before our models, during our models, and just after our models. Then see if you can find any of those other vehicles in a boneyard. You should be able to get them cheap as dirt. Then just check fitment until you find something that works.

Don't be afraid of 3D printed models either, since you are coating in Herculiner anyway.

Thanks for the pointers! All valid. I will keep watching and see what comes up. I am not sure where the original small flares came from. Thee are no part numbers or anythign on them to cross reference. I don't dislike the current flares. I just like the others better. :)

This is what a famous AI suggested to me:

2000–2006 Chevy Suburban Fender Flare Guide

Goal: Match the smooth, factory-style flares like the ones in the maroon Suburban photo.

1) Best Exact Match – Bushwacker OE Style Fender Flares

• Brand / Part #: Bushwacker 40908-02 (OE Style, smooth finish, set of 4)

• Look: Smooth, low-profile factory style – closest visual match to the photo.

• Fitment: 2000–2006 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 & 2500; 2003–2006 GMC Yukon XL 1500/2500.

• Material: Dura-Flex 2000 ABS (impact- and UV-resistant).

• Tire coverage (approx.): +1.25" front, +0.75" rear.

Cheapest current price I could find (as of search):

• Husky Liners / RealTruck listing – $399.99 (clearance, free shipping in lower 48).

Search: "Husky Liners Bushwacker 40908-02 OE Fender Flares"

Other common prices for the same part (for comparison):

• Overlanded: about $482

• PartsGeek: about $488 (often with free shipping)

• eBay / PartsHawk: about $486

Notes:

• If you want the exact look from the photo and top quality, this is the set to buy.

• Comes in matte black; can be scuffed and painted to match body color if desired.

2) Premium Urethane "Sport" Alternative – Street Scene 950-55550

• Brand / Part #: Street Scene 950-55550 (Sport Fender Flares, urethane, set of 4).

• Look: Slightly more aggressive, round-edge design; still smooth and paintable.

• Fitment: 2000–2006 Chevrolet Suburban (all trims).

• Material: Flexible urethane – very durable and paint-friendly.

• Tire coverage: roughly +2–2.5" at the top of the arch.

Typical pricing:

• Many retailers list these on sale around $494 (MSRP close to $796).

Examples: VividRacing, BodyKits.com, CARiD, NAPA.

Notes:

• Good choice if you want more tire coverage and a slightly more aggressive look

while staying with a smooth, non-bolt-on design.

3) Budget OE-Style Alternative – Autopart Premium Set

• Brand / Part #: Autopart Premium 3718-02893063 (factory-style OE look, set of 4).

• Look: Smooth OE-style flares modeled after the factory design.

• Fitment: 2000–2006 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 (sport utility, 4-door).

• Finish: Black, ready to prep and paint; hardware included.

Cheapest price I found:

• PartsGeek: about $115.95 with free shipping.

Search: "PartsGeek Autopart Premium 3718-02893063 Suburban fender flare set"

Notes:

• This is the value option – OE-style look at a fraction of the Bushwacker price.

• Plastic quality and fit/finish may not be at Bushwacker level, but reviews are

generally acceptable for a budget build or a driver-quality truck.

4) Quick Recommendation Summary

• Want top quality and closest match to the photo?

-> Buy Bushwacker 40908-02 OE Style (look for the ~$400 Husky Liners / RealTruck deal).

This is what a famous AI suggested to me:

Wow! That is a lot. Thanks! The funny thing is that I was digging for the Bushwhacker flares. The initial picture on the website shows a similar set. But, once you click and dig into it, the photos show the larger OE style. I did not want to spend $400-$500 on a "maybe" .

I'll keep watching stuff. The current flares are growing on me... :happy107:

I just figured I was paying for it, so I would share the wealth, so-to-speak. :)
