Looking for 03-04 - help please

As the title states, I want a 03-04 with "verticle rear doors" instead of a hatch. I rarely see these and wanted to know if they were on any specefic trim levels, specefic years, or what's the best way of searching one out besides looking at for sale descriptions or pictures on for sale ads. Do both Tahoe's and Yukons have this feature? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you are referring to barn doors. I believe the last year was 01 for both GMC and Chevy. I prefer this style because there is no offset wiper arm and no power option available for rear hatch from 02 to 06.

From what Ive read on wiki the doors were standard till 04, but most buyers/dealers ordered the optional hatch style and in 05 the hatch style became standard. I realize wiki isnt always the gospel, but I did find a 04 about 200 miles away with rear doors. I really want at least an 03 or newer because of the double din radio, 02's and older have the single din. I think Im looking for a needle in a haystack

I think all 2000+ NBS Tahoes came with double din radio's.....

My 2000 has the factory double din style...?

00-02 is 1.5" din, 03-06 double din.

i thought with the nbs the hatch became the standard, and barn doors were optioned

only reason i dont like the barn doors on the nbs is the tail lights are harder to get and more expensive because there's less trucks out there and the casing is a different shape to accomodate the hinges
