I figured out why the back of my truck was riding like dog shit. The trailing arm bracket bolt pulled through the washer so the whole bracket was just loose. I welded the trailing arm bracket and shock extension brackets right to the rear end and now the truck rides like a dream

Hmm, interested in seeing this. Could you snap a couple of pictures of where you welded them?

The truck never goes up in a lift and I’m definitely not fitting underneath lol. I just welded the brackets anywhere they came in contact with the rear end

Forgot I sent @Leo1103 a picture when I did it. Yeah it’s the DJM stuff. After speaking to a bunch of people, I regret doing drop shocks and shock extensions. You’re supposed to do one or the other, not both

And the drop shocks that go with the kit are a horrible combo with the 6” drop spring.

One or the other, not both? Huh, that's a first.
I thought without the extender the angle of the shock would be almost 45 degrees (that's and exaggeration) but it would be at an angle where the shock would not perform as it should being more upright.

I need to get under mine, its about that time to re-tighten everything, again.
I may end up pulling my welder out and just zap everything.

unfortunately I screwed myself with that. I already notched the frame and didn’t anticipate the weight in the rear making it that much lower. So if I do arms to center the rear, it won’t be centered in the notch

Oh crap, I completely forgot about the notch. That would be a tough one to undue. It could be done but I'd have to trust the guy doing it with a tape and a welder.

Cant remember, are you on struts or did you do a coil-over conversion?

potholes are a little harsh but I’ve lived here for 32 years so I’m pretty good at avoiding them lol it’s on struts but I’m going to put the stock strut assembly back in and do 4” drop control arms. No wheels because with anything bigger than 22’s I need a very small tire. I had 24’s on it for a day and broke a wheel because the tires were only 255/30/24’s

Ahh yes, the potholes. How can you forget potholes in New England haha. Used to live outside of Boston for 35 years and worked in the city for about ten years and have lost a tire or three hahaha. I completely understand about the wheels.

no it’s not on air. It’s just lowered with a mix of components from everyone and their mother and the frame is notched
