2013 Tahoe Transmission Shudder at 200,000

I just hit 200,000 and my transmission started shuddering at low speeds. It otherwise runs great and shifts great, it does not slip. Not sure where to go from here. The repair shops tell me they won't do a service and that it needs a new transmission. Do I drain and fill? Also, if I repair the transmission, how long can I expect these engines to go if they have been well taken care of? I love this vehicle. We have been all over the country. I also use it as a camper for my fly fishing adventures. Any advice appreciated!!

"The repair shops tell me they won't do a service and that it needs a new transmission." So, you took it to more than 1 repair shop, and they all told you that you need a new transmission? Were any of those repair shops a transmission repair shop? What supporting details did they provide with their assessments? In full transparency, 200k miles on an original transmission is a lot of miles.

It could be that your torque converter is starting to fail, and that the transmission is still OK. BUT, a failing torque converter will ultimately grenade and push metal throughout your transmission, thus killing it as well.
