Also put a piece of electrical tape over your CEL.

The 4WD dial lights up, the other went blank. Maybe the middle one too. I reckon that if I have to buy bulbs and solder them to a PC board I'll just buy a new module similar to the one you linked to, mine has fogs, and be done with it.

What all is suppose to light up? The headlight dial, the fog button and the cargo button? All the buttons?

All of them and a yellow light for whichever one the selector has activated; applies to the round dial.

Good stuff, I'm all for repairing things but this one of those items which is probably not worth the hassle.

I know Aaron. It was not a decision made for the long term owner when GM went with soldered in bulbs for parts they don't make anymore such as the bulbs on my Montana. I'll keep the old one and someday get around to replacing the bulb and have it for a spare.
