so I have a friend who has a 50" light bar thats bright as hell and he can get me a new one for a really good price but Im having trouble finding goof quality mounting brackets for a 50" straight light bar, does anyone have any suggestions?

Also I want to replace the fog lights in my bumper beside the towing hooks with 2 mini light bars, I would love for these bars to be 6"x2" or 6"x3" in size. If anyone has any lights this size they can recommend that are also super bright please let me know!

Lastly if I was to put the 2 smaller bars in the fog light location could I just use the pre existing wires so its cut on and off via the button already in the dash? and could I also connect the 50" bar to the button controlling the fog lights so when I press it all 3 light bars come on at once? Or is the wire that is already is use there too small or weak creating the potential for its insulator to melt and be a potential fire hazard? any and all info is appreciated, thanks!

Here is a pic of my truck as it currently sits for just an idea.

I've got a 52" mounted up top and 4" led fogs mounted in a Z71 valence. No issues with either one. I have the fogs connected to the factory wires and work off the original fog light switch or an aftermarket one I put so I turn them on whenever. The brackets for my 52" I got off ebay for $85 bucks and they've worked fine for me. Easy install and they seem to be pretty secure, 6 screws on each side. I mounted my switches on the overhead console. Nice tahoe by the way and welcome to the site!

Thanks for the reply, where did you get the 4" bars and could you link me to where you got the mounting brackets? Also do they make the brackets for a 50" straight bar? And nice choice on the location of your switches but my roof console is hanging by only the screw, both of the clip spots that are beside the lights are broke because I ran 4 15's on like 12,000 watts rms / 24,000 watts peak lol.

I got the 4" led lights off ebay, like $40/pr, same for the brackets. Got those off ebay for like $85. The ones I got were listed for both the 50" and 52". Once they're mounted to the vehicle they can be bent inward to the light, I had to do that to mine but only about an inch or so. You can pick up a new overhead console for cheap and replace your broken one.

Just use your fog light switch as a signal to the relays, this would be no different than any other switch.

I know this is an old thread but how are the fog lights mounted? Is that from a bracket or the original mounts?
