The liftgate on my 2007 GMC Denali hasn't been operational in some time. I figure it is the wheel on the inside of the actuator as the descriptions by others match this condition. I figured I would change is someday when I actually started to care. A new problem which is more annoying has come up now as the liftgate will not latch when it is in the down position. I hear the sound of the motor like it is trying to latch but nothing happens and the latch remains unlocked. Has anyone else had this problem and was able to manage a fix that didn't require part replacement?
