Power side is on the drivers side of the vehicle
or GM
Passenger side is a normal strut
Retainer is P/N 84183794, they are pretty easy to do, definitely north worth $800 IMHO. Open the lift gate, support it with a board, remove the retainers, replace the struts, call it a day

Man those dealers really rip you off. I did mine last year and it's an easy job(2 bolts). I paid around $150 in parts for some aftermarket actuators that work fine.
