Ok installed 9006 bulbs in my 1999 Chevy Tahoe sport and in my buddies 1997 Yukon GT BOTH The daytime running went out. The bulb in the dash is off and the lights stay on all day instead of kicking down. My brother has a 1999 Tahoe sport as well but his Kick down for the DRL NEED some trouble shootingv

What is this "DRL" for which you speak? (I disabled mine)

With that being said ...

Some LEDs and the DRL circuit in these vehicles do NOT get along very well. IIRC the DRL circuit is some cases will kill the LEDs very rapidly.

I would reinstall the original bulbs and see if the problem goes away ... If it does you could try a different brand of LEDs.

That’s becuase of voltage spikes that can reach above 14v. Not many bulbs can handle that much and that explains why you see a lot of GM with one drl out. Since leds require less power to run, it won’t take much to overload them either
