Was driving my 2025 Yukon today and got a notice that an update was available which is the first one for my 2025 so when I got home I let it do the update which took about 15 minutes. Does anybody know what the update was for or what it fixed?
Thanks

There’s two.. you’ll get another one in a few days.. no clue what they change but they do reset some stupid stuff like the rear seat warning.. annoying

Agreed re. the reset’s & perhaps someone will stroll by & advise what the updates accomplished.

Per my service advisor...be sure your vehicle is outside with a clear view of the sky and then check for any updates...won't work inside a garage or obstructed view. He was right because I tried it inside my garage and no go, but worked fine outside.

Not sure how GM rolls out their OTA updates (only had 2 or 3) but my previous vehicle’s manufacturer rolled them out in batches & to diff. geographical areas CONUS. Never understood the pattern when they intro’d them but my Z & last veh. both popped a message up on my infotainment screens when they could be downloaded OTA.

So interesting issue with my 25 Tahoe HC. The updates screen where it says Updates and History was grayed out but you could still click on it and it immediately went to a screen that said there was an error with OTA updates see your dealership.

Dealership determined that Bulletin 25-NA-125 says OTA updates cannot be performed if the vehicle battery is at less then 70% capacity, they charged battery to 99% and the Updates and History was still grayed out so they contacted GM TAC who forced an OTA update to the vehicle.

They also determined the BCM needed to be updated and the Telematic Control Module needed updating in order to prevent this from happening again.

Just want to enlighten others incase they have the Updates and History menu grayed out.

Good to know. It sounds like your Dealership is on the ball. I'm not so sure about mine. Might be time to try another Dealership.

I got the same update message just now in my 2023 'hoe. Installing right now. Hoping maybe it finally fixes the audio dropout issues I've had forever. Maybe they're sending an OTA fix for the L87 engine too...haha

EDIT: Well, that was a fail. Not sure why.

Looks like you’re in your garage. First OTA update I did in my garage failed. Since then I drive 10min to town, park in the Walmart parking lot and it’s never failed doing it that way. OnStar uses AT&Ts network so if there isn’t good cell signal during the process it’ll fail.

Thanks. I scheduled it to run again that same night, and it worked. Was still in the garage actually, but what you’re saying makes sense.

My vehicle doesn't show any history of updates other then telling me its running Android 12 version.

Im trying to determine if my truck has downloaded GM 651.20 but it keeps saying no Updates Available

Other then going to the dealership is there a place to enter your VIN and see your Updates the truck has downloaded?

This is the history of the updates so far in our HC, but we don’t have the rear seat entertainment screens.

Is it possible for OnStar to get the OTA install information on your vehicle?

I don't think Onstar has anything to do with vehicle module updates.
