I just got my self an ALDL hookup and software so I have been playing around a bit. I did some recording and noticed I got 9 knock counts on a short trip. One right after I started. second at 32mph at 50% tps at 2475 rpms. the third at 23mph 99.6% tps 3300 rpms spark retard 2.8. fourth at 43mph 99.6% tps 3125 rpms spark retard 0.7. fifth at 54 mph 99.6% tps 3775 rpms. sixth at 43mph 99.6% tps 2725 rpms spark retard 1.1. seventh at 41 mph 99.6% tps 3000 rpms. Eight at 45 mph 24.6% tps 1275 rpms spark retard 2.3. ninth at 40 mph 27% tps 1150 rpms spark retard 3.
I am unsure if this is normal or what? anyone have any Ideas or info?
I started doing this to find a random hunting idle. I will have more on that in a different thread

It appears you were full throttle when they were happening, full throttle knocks will happen, could even be a false knock ... 9 on a short trip isn't many, hook it up and try starting or shutting off the engine and see what it records lol.

Could be something the ECU won't show as "bad", wiped cam lobe, vac leak, an actualy mechanical issue ouside of the wires and sensors ...
