Sorry but I couldn't find this anywhere.
If I just want to level my 04 LT, Is there a reason I should go buy,
Ford Keys or any other kind.

As opposed to just cranking the factory ones up a little more. Guessing an 1"-1.5" just to level the nose.

Thanks for the help

If you just want to level it just crank the keys and buy shocks, you NEED to buy shocks, otherwise you are gonna ride HORRIBLE. if you have the money go ahead and buy keys and shocks, you'll be glad you did

So is he ratio different on them? Is the distance from the tb to the bolt different. Maybe there indexted different.
Something has to be different.

Itll really make the shocks work that bad?

Is there a difference between brands? One preferred over the other?

no difference between brands. keys are keys, although some might be indexed slightly differently, but most are the same.

good thread..

is this also true if you already have a lift kit installed?
Me particularly, have a RCX 6" kit and wanna go up a bit more. Its down from the front by about .5" or so. (might be a touch more)

I was thinking of getting some RCX or other keys and 1.5" rear spacers to pick the truck up a bit more. If i do this, will i need shocks again?

The rear shocks are OEM but were relocated as per installation, and the front are Rough County shocks included in the kit.

Any one have info on something like this?

No you won't need new shocks for the front as they are long enough to go to the droop stops on the rcx 6". As for the rear u could try the spacers and if the shocks are too short get new ones.

example of differently indexed keys...bottom keys are stock. Top keys allow more lift with less turns (from threaded bolt)
