It was tight enough to stay in but just for good measure I added some "Seal All" adhesive.

To get the incoming air below the filter media. As the other side pulls the vacuum above the filter media. That way it's filtered before returning into the intake.

This raises the old question of which hose goes where on the catchcans.com version again. I believe the final consensus was that the inlet (valve cover hose) should come into the top chamber. This way gravity and vacuum direction helps the drops through the filter and into the bottom of the can. What @Kenny D has done here is the opposite. IIRC, there was an argument for hooking them up this way: the dirty air comes in by all the crud and is forced up through the filter and out. Why would you want the outlet (hose to intake) coming from the same chamber as all the crud? Then the argument for the other: the filter will only drops will only fall from the filter when the engine is off because of vacuum direction... Thoughts anybody?

If looking at a "water trap" for an air compressor, the incoming air is drawn in to the bowl, sucked up through the filter, and then to the final location. The air is filtered and the bowl retains the impurities.

This was also my inclination. It was confusing to me why the catchcans.com ones all get hooked up the other way. Anybody else in my boat?

The only catch can design that I've used has both ports vertically aligned on opposite sides of the 'can,' so I never really thought about it since this design works.

I'd suggest Magnaflow 12259 if you want deep, throaty, rumbly. Carven R if you want to add some crackle & bark.

Well the exhaust will have to wait. Driverside motor mount will be next. Decided to do the rev check and sure enough, it tried to jump out the passenger door. So should I go with AC Delco for $100 through Rock Auto, or spend the same $100 and get it local with a lifetime warranty? Both come with heat shield. The Autozone Duralast Lifetime is the same as the AC Delco in price but comes with a no hassle return. I'm thinking Duralast ( unless someone talks me out of it) due to the fact that both brands will probably fail again within 50,000 miles and I can just remove and return.

My catch can came the other day and of course, as always, i wasn't there..... I walk into the house later and my fatherinlaw says, you got some packages i put them over there.....all loud and shit.....there were 3-4 packages...i saw them in my garage when i pulled in and I automatically knew i was gonna hear it......she looked at me after his comment and if looks could kill.....shit, i would have been dead years ago.....this time however.....lol... I ordered some hair and nail vitamins crap for her and a few tune up parts for my fil and bil mowers so I automatically said.... that was quick, 'YOUR vitamins and YOUR fathers lawn mower parts are here'..... then i quick went out and hid the catch can......

I received my fog light pigtails and spliced them in. I am on a search for some high power amber LED bulbs that project a good beam. Hopefully this weekend I can tackle the cigarette lighter/USB phone charger mod. While I have the center cluster open, I plan on testing the rear channel of my radio and continue the saga on making the rear speakers work.
