Just curious, how rare is this combo

My local dealership said they hadn’t run across one, others have said they’ve never seen it. Silver exterior/cocoa dune interior on my 16. I don’t mean rare as it’s a Barrett Jackson item, it will be my daily driver until the wheels fall off. I just mean rare as in an odd color combo.

Doesn’t seem like an odd color combo but maybe it’s rare. My yukon is cocoa with iridium exterior and I had to special order it.

Fleet vehicles (livery, rentals, corporate) tend to be black on black (or white/sliver on black in the south) so I think that’s what tends to get ordered the most.

To me the floor Mat and steering wheel and dash and wood grain and seat color with grey vents and tan lower dash.... There is just toooo much going on. To many colors for me. I’d rather have two colors or all black.

Good God, you guys are harsh. Just kidding, but the seats are beige, not grey. Might be the lighting

^^Thank you Sir, but honestly not fishing for compliments. Just wondering. I’ve owned many cars, but silver and beige is not a combination I’ve seen.

I think that dealers tend to order color schemes that they know will sell. And then the order at the customer request/order. This was probably the customer order. I don’t see a dealer ordering a unique interior with the chance that the vehicle will sit on the lot.
For example. Every model offers a black exterior but there aren’t many yellow versions

I bought it with 22k miles. It’s one of the last 16s based on production date. I’m thinking the previous owner did custom order it as it’s just an LS but with 20” wheels and several other options that shouldn’t be on the base LS.

We were trying to find a silver exterior with cocoa/dune interior RST suburban last fall (since my wife doesn’t like black interiors but I liked the silver exterior). Our dealer could not find one anywhere, so we went with white. Just so happens that white has turned into my favorite color for the RST so it worked out.

Btw I like the dark weathertechs, I tried to get her to go with those but she wanted tan which does not match.

One of my pet peeves is never being able to find anything on the lot that doesn’t have an all black interior, especially in silver. I’m just not a fan of that much black. It’s like an emo middle schooler designed it. ;)

We had two silver Suburbans with black inside before I special ordered a silver XL Denali with Cocoa/Dark Atmosphere inside. The current Blue Suburban has the brown seats and black dash. Anyway, I really like the new one.

One of the nicest truck/suv leather interior colors I saw was in a Laforza. This truck is about the size of an older Chevy Blazer. I first noticed it was, I read a badge on the lower front fender..
" Pinafarina "..... ( Huh? ..ya know Ferrari ???)..... Yea, cool.... Italian made truck - for their military. They made more trucks than engine/drive trains. An American bought the remaining trucks, imported them to the US. ( Escondido, Calif - north of San Diego )
We're talking about 25 years ago.....
It had ( I believe a Ford engine/ drivetrain )..... But since it was manufactured in Italy, Lamborghini contracted the interior.
So it had Lamborghini leather.

Nice.

Funny thing. I’m one who prefers a dark interior because it does not show the dirt from every day use on the seats or steering wheel.

How dirty can your steering wheel get?

Dark carpet shows EVERYTHING. I have to vacuum my wife’s car at least once a week. Brutal.
