i jus ordered 2006 vette z06 assembled heads and cam,lifters,push rods with comp rockers ....i hope it will work on my lq4...any1 know it will work?

The biggest problem you will run into is the need for an LS7 intake... then you will need the fuel rails and injectors while your at it. Thats just off the top of my head.

ls7 intake ?

from what ive been told from a reliable source even though no1 knows everything and they have never done this but the stock lq4 intake and fuel rails along with maybe injectors should be able to change over.....and yes i bought it all with out knowing for sure...but i hope it all works out and i can find a awd dyno to dial in on the tune...im stressin this motor build only cuz im 100% on the compatibility between all the parts....i was thinkin about the fuel rails and how i could make it work ...after i checked out a few ls7's im not so sure that my intake will bolt up as i was told....but i guess i have to put it all together to find out unless i found the proof that this set up will not work

The intake from a LQ4/9 will work yes. Problem is the runner volume is gonna be quite a bit low for what the heads can flow. Now granted that stocker manifold is great for low end but the LS7 gear will choke out up top with that Cam. The correct intake will do ya wonders.

would a FAST intake manifold or another manifold that can be modded be better.... i was hoping to be able to use 80mm BBK Throttle body on what ever i need to use....would an ls2 manifold help or work???? i have been trying to round up all the other small things i will need to make the setup work and so far i think i jumped the gun with out enough research but at this point i am ready to get all parts together and get workin!!! thank u

If your goin through it the easiest Intake would be an LS6 manifold, Least amount of parts to makeit work. But you can run an LS2 or LS7 (different injectors cause the need for injectors and rails to work). A Fast intake would work. If you look around you'll find Fast 90/90 setups used or Other combos.

well the ls7 heads didnt work due to valve to block interference....i would need to have the block bored out...so instead i exchanged for ls2 heads which will slap right on!! and yes i had to change the cam and get other rockers and push rods for the ls2 top end setup

The intake off the tbss or the newer 6.0s work well. People have seen gains of up to 10hp on stock trucks.

Set up ran great and ended up doing FAST Intake and 80mm bbk tb ,ealge rods and diamond pistons and got about 4500 miles out of the motor till I pulled it back due to loss of compression in 6 cylinders....but with the 2500 stall trq.con. and the level2 performabuilt trans the truck ran strong n surprisingly fast and proud to say it drug every1 i could find down the local streets! ! I am now looking for a bigger throttle body and possibly.030"over bore to get more! Any info on drive by wire throttle bodies would be great! And thank u to the members for all the info that's on this site
