Is there a +1 size from 265/65-18 Z71 tires?

Since I ordered a 2013 Z71 tahoe 4wd today, the tires are going to have to be replaced -- the goodyear street tires that the new ones come with suck. The Bridgestone Duelers were far superior aesthetically speaking.

Will a 275/65r18 fit without a lift? I am considering a 2" lift but am really on the fence.

Thanks
Mighty Hd.

Yeah I thought that was the case also. I was just at the local dealership and all the new Z71s had ATs.

IMO 275/65/18s on stock wheels will be really close, not much room with the Z71 front valance caps. Level kits do not alleviate the rubbing issue. It might be ok when installed, but once you start flexing the suspension it will rub at full lock with larger tires. It really isn't a big deal to trim, but I know it is hard to cut up a new truck.

The z71 tahoes here have Goodyear SR-A tires that look more like a touring tire thn an all terrain.

I was going to put on BFG AT but a set of 275's. I am also considering a leveling kit, but styling with a 265 or 275.

Thoughts?

I would look a little harder at the truck, when I ordered mine ,,,,there was three levels of Z71 , and one of them was a shock package for 2wd.....then a 4x4 with shocks and skids, and mine.....full tow package, with oil and trans cooler along with the suspension.

The one I ordered (and on the lot but not the color I wanted) has:
Towing
Luxury package
4x4
Z71
Sun/Destination package
Integrated trailer brake controller
2nd row bench

The ones on the lots do not have the sun/destination, 2nd row bench or the trailer brake controller.

All of the ones that have seen anywhere all have the Goodyear street tires...........???? Does anyone have a 2013 with the bridgestones?

It's looking like I can fit a 275/65r18 without a lift from what I have been finding on the forum.

I just can't find any photos.

Not trying to take over post... But what about 265/70/18 it would add 1" of tire. This is what I would like to do if possible.

Sorry, I'm new to my truck and I have a 2wd, but I can't believe that GM would have a 4wd full size truck that couldn't fit 32's on it bone stock. I would have guessed in all honesty that you could go up to a 275/70 without issue, but it looks like that is way wrong after reading some other posts. Wow. Good luck with your search and your tire purchase. FWIW, I have stock 275/55/20's on my truck which equate to almost 32". I would think in a 4wd version I would have more clearance than what I have now.....

The Z71s "offroad" package has less room at the front wheel wells because of the front bumper caps. Yeah go figure :wtf2:.

I ran that way for a little while. It looked funny but not that bad.

Is there a kit to level just the front without having a cali lean? With most kits, it appears that the rear must be raised 1" as well so it levels out.

SW CT,
On a Z71 go with a 2" front spacer and it will be perfect. This is 2" front level with 18x9 XD Addicts, STOCK tires.

Nice! That's exactly what I'm looking for.

What 2" lift did you go with & tires?

SW CT,
Level kit is from Zone, bottom mount...tires are stock I think Bridgestone. All we did was level it, add the Addicts, tint and colormatched bowties...very simple yet set it apart.

I found through some searches, that the lift spacer is roughly 1/2 the amount of lift.....I have a lower spacer that is 1", this should be 2" lift.

I do not want the cali lean so I plan to shave it down to 3/4" thick.

please post some pics......

I am currently looking at tires, as mine a have 33000 miles....

I am looking at 3 options.....
1. 285 /65 /18
2. 275 /65 /18
3. 275 /70 /28

my plans are to run a 2" front level only...if it sags, I will look for a 1" rear. I already have the 2" front, so I am using it.

any one with some accurate feed back please chime in.....I will also be running stock wheels.

Now that I think about it...Im pretty sure I'm running 275/65/18's. fwiw here are a few pics. I'll verify size shortly.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1367277634.928437.jpg

No lift/stock rims...fender liners were pulled slightly for clearance and I believe they may have trimmed lower valance some. Tire shop used hd zip ties to pull liners and hold in place. I think I'm going to remove zip ties and use a heat gun to manipulate the plastic to clean it up a little.
