Is it possible to put Yukon front on an Avalanche?

Just a crazy idea. If I want to convert an 2006 Avalanche to look like Yukon from the front. ie, putting Yukon's hood, front fenders, grill, lights, and bumper on an Avalanche. Possible?

How interchangeable are the body panels?

First post, great forum.

I rember seeing a few years back an article in Trukin how they swapped a Denali front cap and side body cladding onto an Avalanche. It bolted right up. And the cladding from a Denali XL will fit right.onto the body, along with the running boards.

The fenders and bumper of '01/'02 tahoes and yukons looked very similar. So I am kinda hoping I can swap the avalanche front with Yukon's and create that funky Yukon-avalanche.

Apparently, it has been done before!! Except that this one was seriously lowered and i have no intention of doing so.

Square back doesn't match rounded front I don't care for it

I don't understand what the deal is with the GMC badging ... I mean just because someone slapped a different front end on doesn't make it a GMC. Plus if one is going to go through all that money and trouble to mod that avy why even have emblems?

It would still look awful without the GMC badging imo, but at least it would make sense.

I would think it to be a direct swap since all the panels match and the internals are basically the same.

I'm not sure why you removed the thread you originally linked as it is exactly what the op is talking about: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7789 ... but it clearly shows that although it may be a 'direct swap' it certainly isn't a direct fit. That smirky gap between the hood and the grille clearly shows that.

Again, not my taste, but I'm gonna stop hatin'. :)
