Anyone using any of the Castrol full syn line? Any pros and cons?

My 17’ hoe’s last fill was with 0w-20 edge. It’s at 70k. I’m a valvoline guy on my 11’ PPV and 05’ s2000. I’m wondering whether to keep going with Castrol or Valvoline

I know there will be a few giggles about this but I use 10w-30 full synthetic oil from Amazon Basics. It is made at Warren Distribution in Omaha, Nebraska. Turns out that Warren makes full synthetic oils for numerous motor oil suppliers. Check out this test video and compare the results.

I hear you loud and clear, I've seen the test results, Amazon Basic is the real deal. It stands alone and can stack up with the best. If you are fresh to a new line of thought, then you won't disappointed.

LOL- the test is interesting especially the "rat race" with the cold oil......

Warren Oil makes (i believe) the Walmart Super-Tech oil also....

For the last 6 years I was using Castrol syn oils, was good before I switched to Pennzoil , I Think engine runs smoother and MPG is better... Pennzoil is made from natural gas which is purer than oil made from crude oil

I'm leaning towards Acdelco, I'm going to give it a try for the next two changes.

In a month or so mine will be due for changing for it's third run on this oil and am sending off a sample to Blackstone for analysis. Same for the transmission.

I'll keep an eye out for it. James you're running 10-30?

Anyone have the specs on this oil? Website was not opening the MSDS or Products Sheets.

Oh, same for Purolator oil filters. Someone claimed that they are the bomb, but I can find no data whatsoever on them.

I'm not sure who said that but in the past I've used purolator pure one filters because of the bob's the oil guy report on them.

No sir, 5W30. ACDelco has more than a few in this weight and suspect they are for different applications. These are the PN# I'm using which are inter-related; same oil, just different sized containers.

1 Quart = 88865905 - 10-9234
5 Quart = 88865743 - 10-9147
6 Gallon = 88865763 - 10-9165

I'd be running 0w-20

Ive been using Castro’s Edge on my 2003 Yukon since I bought it new. Has 202K on it with ZERO issues. Love the stuff!

Oh, that's right, you just picked up the new one. Run the VIN through ACDelco's website and see what comes up.

The only area on the site that I can find to use my vin# was for the recalls...
