I have an issue with my 03 Tahoe, when I get in the rig and start it, the heater doesn't turn on even though the fan is turned on. However after about 5-10 mins of driving, the heater will pop on and start working, shut the truck off and it does it all over again. I was leaning towards either the blower motor resistor or the ambient temperature sensor, but was also thinking the heater control unit might be the issue cause when I change the temp for the drivers side it has a mind of its own and fluctuates back and forth, ie; heater is set at 70 and I turn the knob clockwise to turn it up, it will drop down into the low 60s before starting to go up, it seems to drop about 5-6 degrees first and it just gradually goes up. You can get it to go to 74, but then it will drop back down to 68 or so and it keeps doing that through all the temps (passenger side works perfectly)... Please help... It's driving me insane!!!
