Installing Locking Lug Nuts

Do your self a favor and get rid of the locking nuts. You’ll never find the key when you need it most. I have two sets of black gloss locking nuts if anybody’s interested.

Were they supplied by GM? Do you have the key?

At least my 2024 with 22" wheels I had locking lugs as an option. Apparently GM ships them in a small black plastic box about 4"x6"x1" with the vehicle. The dealer PDI department is supposed to install the locking lugs. My dealer put the factory lugs in the locking lug box with the locking lug key and placed it in the glove box. The sales rep made sure to check and point out to me that the non locking lugs and the locking lug key were in the box and in the glove box at time of delivery.

I relocated the locking lug box to the rear underside storage area in the truck and this is where the box will stay until I need to get tires and I will likely swap the non locking lugs on before tire replacement, then swap the locking lugs back once the tires have been replaced.

Yes, two sets gm oem high gloss black with key. Each set, 4 locking lugs.

I agree with getting rid of them. I have had very bad luck with them especially with some of my daughters cars over the years

The price that GM wants for these nuts is absolutely absurd. My up fitter replaced my chrome ones with high quality aftermarket ones I had for about a fifth of the price. They look awesome.
