Hello,

First time poster, recently frequent viewer (LOL). I am currently in the process of looking for a Tahoe (preferably 2009+ LTZ). I have found one that is a 2009, but recently found out that it can not read a USB drive.

In the past I had a friend that talked about using in dash computers to replace the NAV and stereo.

I wanted to know if anyone had suggestions on an indash computer that could be used as a replacement for the factory stereo, and still maintain the ability to use the steering wheel controls?

Can't think of a way unless you route your computer audio through a car audio head unit. Even then you would not be able to skip tracks.

You can call the guys at http://www.pac-audio.com/ and talk to them about their steering wheel units. They are an easy company to get a hold of.

They are not as plug and play as say an aftermarket nav unit. If your are just wanting something for nav you would be better off with factory or after market nav :imo:
