As the title says, check the relay immediately if you lose a speed on your blower selection.
My wife texted me and said that there was smoke coming out of the dash... relay was shorted and connector and wiring was melted. She said she noticed a week ago that only number 5 worked on the selector. So yeah not sure why that wire isn't fused, but it probably would have progressed to a full fleged fire.
