I stopped turnning a wrench for a pay check about 10 years ago. Once I realized working out of 4 smaller boxes(Cornwell, Snap on, Matco and an older craftsman) that were over flowing was not effective at all so, I posted them online. The three tool truck brands sold for what I was asking within a day or two. I was only asking 150 for the ballbearing craftsman but the best offer I got was 75 bucks. I kept it and started looking into a box for the shop. I knew I needed a bigger 72-86 long box but, could not see spendding tool truck money on a new box. Northern tool, Extreme tool, Lowes,Home Depot and Harbor Freight. This is what I decided on. I've been in and out of it for two years and it's not given me any problems. I don't use it every day but most weekeds I'm in and out of it both days. I do wish I would have known that they were going to offer a 72 inch top box a few months later and bought the side locker when I ordered this.

My Matco tool box I inherited from my brother-in-law after he passed away in 1999. He was a Suburu and Hyundai mechanic in Billings Mt and had tools since auto shop in high school. Snap on rep said there were $20k in histools there along with various electronic testers which are likely obsolete now. I paid off a tool debt of $250 to the Snap on rep when I picked up the tools from the dealership where my brother-in-law worked. Included in each drawer of the box were nuts, bolts, springs, lug nuts, and various other cast off auto parts from autos he worked on. Spent the winter of 99 sorting out these cast offs and degreasing everything.

Nice set of tools for a DIYer, my son will get them when I pass on.

Before I moved to Florida, I had to give away my wonderful Snap-On 'top box', just like the one you show. Besides my 'cave' with toolbox, I have all my work stuff I put in my Yukon XL on a rolling shelf. ( Tales 5 minutes to load)
