had my trans rebuilt and now have to do vette servo swap again. dont remember running into this issue last time i did the swap (two yrs ago). when i put the pin through the 2nd apply piston and put the spring, washer, and retaining clip back on, the spring has no compression against the piston , unlike stock set-up. do i need a different spring? i.e. longer/heavy duty spring. i look at the pin, it has two grooves lathed into the tip indicating its the mid length pin used on the 4l60e according to the youtube boxwrench servo install vid.
